The Training and Placement Cell hosted an enlightening Workshop on ‘Skill Development and Career Building’ by inviting Mr. Lavanya Kumar, Director, Smart Steps, a leading career consultancy and skill development organization on 29th November, 2024. The session was organized to guide students in enhancing their employability by developing essential skills and adopting effective career-building strategies. Mr. Kumar began by emphasizing the increasing skill gap between what academic institutions teach and what the industry demands. He highlighted that while theoretical knowledge is important, practical skills are critical to career success. He encouraged students to constantly evolve and upskill themselves to stay competitive in the job market. His emphasis on continuous learning, networking, and personal growth resonated with the students, helping them gain a deeper understanding of how to navigate the professional world successfully. Practical session on Resume writing and Interview techniques is conducted to the students which is immensely beneficial for them.
