Reliance Retail Limited embarked on an ambitious recruitment drive on 13th June 2025, seeking to fill the role of Departmental Manager at various store locations. The Training and Placement Cell organized the campus placement drive with a pool of 52 candidates, each eager to associate with one of India’s leading retail giants. The recruitment process was meticulously structured, comprising multiple rounds designed to assess the candidates' skills, teamwork and technical knowledge.
The first round was a group discussion, a critical phase that allowed candidates to showcase their communication skills, leadership potential and ability to work collaboratively. Out of the initial 52 participants, 36 candidates advanced to the second round, which involved one-on-one interviews. This stage provided a more personalized assessment, enabling the interviewers to delve deeper into each candidate's qualifications, experiences and aspirations.
Following the one-on-one interviews, the recruitment process progressed to a technical round, where 21 candidates demonstrated their industry-specific knowledge and problem-solving abilities. This round was crucial, as it tested the candidates' readiness to tackle the challenges they would face in the Departmental Manager role.
The final round of the recruitment drive was the HR interview, where the focus shifted to cultural fit and alignment with Reliance Retail's values. After thorough evaluations, 7 candidates emerged victorious, successfully securing positions with a competitive cost to company (CTC) of ₹3.25 lakh per annum.
