Design thinking has emerged as a powerful approach for developing innovative business solutions by emphasising empathy, creativity, and iterative problem-solving. Recognising the growing significance, the IT club Aavishkar organised a comprehensive 4-day workshop from 23rd March to 26th March 2026 on Design Thinking in collaboration with IBM.
The essence of design thinking lies in understanding customer needs deeply and redefining problems from their perspective. Through stages like empathising, defining, ideating, prototyping and testing, participants learn to generate user-centric solutions that are both creative and practical. For aspiring business leaders and IT professionals, mastering design thinking equips them with the ability to tackle complex problems with agility and empathy. The workshop enabled students to work on case scenarios, enhancing their skills in brainstorming, rapid prototyping and feedback incorporation. By integrating design thinking into their problem-solving toolkit, students become better prepared to lead innovation-driven projects and contribute to sustainable business growth.
Engaging 150 students, the workshop offered practical exposure to design thinking principles applied to real challenges. This platform connected theory with practice, inspiring participants to move beyond conventional thinking and equip students to create impactful solutions in their professional journeys.
