Soft skills encompass a range of interpersonal skills, including communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and emotional intelligence. Contrasting job-specific technical skills, soft skills are universally applicable and vital for building relationships, gaining visibility, and creating more opportunities in corporates. Recognizing this need, Adhyayan- the Literary Club in collaboration with the Reliance Foundation-Magic Bus India, organized an intensive week-long classes focused on soft skills training from 24th March 2025 to 03rd April 2025 to equip students with the necessary tools to enter the workforce.
The trainer Mr. Praveen led engaging sessions that covered various behavioural aspects essential for effective communication and the significance of maintaining eye contact which fosters trust and connection during interactions. He also discussed the importance of cultivating a positive mindset and encouraging students to adopt an optimistic outlook that can influence their personal and professional relationships. The training session included the concept of proactive communication, anticipating the needs and necessity for responding effectively, rather than being reactive that enhances clarity and helps in building strong networks and collaborations. Students were engaged in interactive activities that stimulated their problem-solving abilities and collaboration. Students learned the value of diverse perspectives and leveraging on each other’s strengths by working in groups.
The hands-on approach allowed them to apply their knowledge in real-life scenarios, making the training practical and impactful. By focusing on behavioural aspects, proactive communication, and entrepreneurial thinking, this program aimed to prepare students for future challenges and opportunities. As they move forward, these young individuals shall carry with them the essential soft skills needed to succeed in a dynamic world, making a positive impact in their communities and beyond.
