Aurora emphasizes on the importance of field visits for students to enhance their knowledge and skills in real-world contexts. The visit to Inorbit Mall, Hyderabad provided an opportunity to the marketing specialisation students to analyze consumer behavior and explore effective marketing techniques firsthand. The Marketing Club – Aparaajith organized this visit to practically expose the students to the behavioural patterns of various categories and types of consumers in the context of real world buying scenario on 3rd january, 2025.
Dr. Madhavi, the faculty of Consumer Behaviour led the team of students to understand the behaviour of buyers that came for shopping in the mall. Students were made into groups with 9 members in each group and were directed to observe the behavioural patterns while purchasing clothes, furniture, accessories, food, consumer durables and also of the consumers who came for entertainment without any buying intentions, just for window shopping. The student groups enthusiastically interacted with various groups of consumers and gathered hands on information on the buying patterns exhibited by different types of consumers. The visit provided the students with practical insights on consumer behaviour, consumer perception and decision making and guided them to learn the concepts practically.
