For management students, embracing entrepreneurship is essential to develop leadership skills, strategic thinking and adaptability in a rapidly evolving business landscape. Promoting a start-up culture within educational institutions encourages students to experiment, learn from failures and develop sustainable business solutions, bridging the gap between academic concepts and real-world application.
In alignment with this vision, Aurora's PG College, Ramanthapur (APGCR), and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Council (IEC NGO) formalised a partnership through an MOU signed on 18th February 2026. This collaboration is dedicated to strengthening the 'Campus Incubation Center,' a platform designed to promote innovation, entrepreneurial thinking and start-up culture among students. The initiative complements the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and adheres to guidelines from the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC), NAAC, AICTE, and UGC, thereby embedding entrepreneurship deeply into the academic framework.
The incubation center offers a comprehensive range of activities aimed at building an entrepreneurial mindset. These include innovation and entrepreneurship awareness campaigns, start-up ecosystem orientation, ideathons, hackathons, and innovation challenges that encourage creative ideation. Students benefit from interactive sessions with successful founders, intellectual property rights awareness, startup pitching events and demo days, gaining exposure to the entrepreneurial journey from concept to market.
Structured pre-incubation and incubation programs provide mentorship, regular progress evaluations, and strategic reviews, ensures that student ventures receive tailored support. The center also organizes idea pitching competitions, workshops, seminars, and large-scale innovation festivals featuring founder talks to inspire and educate aspiring entrepreneurs. Acting as the official media and outreach partner for IEC activities under startupsindia.in further amplifies the reach and impact of these initiatives within the college community.
