SOCIAL SERVICE CELL

Establishment

Social Responsibility Cell is established to inculcate and expand social understanding, moral values and professional ethics in students along with their academic formation so as to show responsible behavior to the professional community and society at large. This makes the students to grow as responsible citizens of high moral values, making valuable contributions to profession, community and society, thus realizing a major thrust in the Vision and Mission of the Institute.

The Cell consists of two main wings; one is NSS wing and another is Unnat Bharat Abhyan(UBA) wing.

Institute has established university approved NSS wing with the Motto of NSS "Not Me but You", which reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for self-less service. NSS helps the students develop appreciation to other person’s point of view and also show consideration to 'other living beings'.

Unnat Bharat Abhyan (UBA) is inspired by the vision of transformational change in rural development processes by leveraging knowledge institutions to help build the architecture of an inclusive India. Initiatives are taken to spread the message of various government schemes on

Objectives

Roles and Responsibilities

• Identification of social service activities
• Identification of faculty coordinators and student volunteers for different activities
• Planning for the events in consultation with NSS Unit and HODs
• To organize social service groups and clubs as well as outdoor filed activities, to encourage and involve students in social service activities
• Information dissemination to the students and others through posts on the notice boards, circulars and website
• Planning for and organizing the events
• Preparation of Reports and maintenance of proper records of the events organized
• Maintenance of relevant records
