GENERAL CLUBS

The institutions are having various types of student clubs formed to encourage the talents of students, and those clubs are given specific names which suitable to the activities of the club. The clubs of the college are as follows:

Cultural Club-Aroop


The Cultural Club inculcates Indian Culture and Heritage by conducting various activities.

Father’s Day

On the occasion of Father’s Day, 18th June 2017, the cultural club has conducted competition “Making of Greeting cards”. The competition conducted for students helped in developing their creative ability. They implied all their innovative ideas and creativity to make the best card for their Father which depicted their immense love and affection. The students have shared their bonding with their fathers through the making of greeting cards with heart touching quotes, poetry. It was a heartwarming, memorable gathering which ended with emotional feelings of students.

Guru Purnima Celebrations

The celebration of Guru Purnima was organized by Cultural Club on 9th July 2017. The students offered gratitude to the faculty celebrating Guru Purnima referring to the story of “Eklavya” &”Dronacharya”. Thereafter, students also delivered motivational speeches and expressed their gratitude towards Guru..

International Friendship Day

The Cultural Club organized Friendship Day celebrations on 5th August, 2017. The day was filled with laughter, joy, excitement and enthusiasm. Competitions like friendship band making and a group ‘Selfie’ contest was organized on the account of Friendship Day.

Krishnastami Celebrations

Gokulashtami, also known as Sri Krishna Jayanthi is celebrated and organized by Cultural Club on 15th August, 2017. Celebrations on campus began with Sahasranama Archana followed by Nagara Sankeerthana wherein a group of students and faculty across campus sang Lord Krishna's glory.

Ganesh Chathurthi

To inculcate the importance of spirituality and social relation, the students gathered to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi on 25th of August. On 28th August, Kumkum Puja was performed by female teaching, Non-teaching staff and students with utmost sincerity and devotion. Cultural Club organized Dandiya Dance performance. On 29th August Ganesh Immersion was performed and the procession started out grandly with Ganesh Mantra Chanting.

Bathukamma Festival Celebrations

Bathukamma Festival was celebrated on 23rd September, 2017. Director, Dr.M.Madhavi inaugurated the event by performing pooja. The students have presented bathukammas which were placed in the college ground and delightfully played ‘Bathukamma’. Prizes were distributed to the students for well decoration of ‘Bathukamma’. All the students, staff and non- teaching staff have participated in this memorable celebration.

World Food Day

The World Food Day 2017 was celebrated by Cultural club on 17th October, 2017. As a part of this event technical activities like video presentation and short documentary video presentations were organized. Students have presented theme and message oriented presentations with a duration of three minutes each.

Diya Decoration Competition

Diya decoration competition was conducted by Cultural club on 18th October, 2017 to create an ambience of Diwali festival. As many students are from different regions of India the Diya decoration competition created a home like atmosphere for them.

Christmas Celebrations

The Cultural Club-Aroop grandly celebrated Christmas Eve on 22nd December, 2017 with festive spirit and lots of Joy. Director Dr. M. Madhavi addressed the gathering and conveyed the wishes to all. The presence of Santa in the event filled everyone’s hearts with joy.

Radio Mirchi-Fresher’s 2k17

Cultural Club – Aroop in association with Radio Mirchi has organized the third edition of Mirchi Fresher's competition on 16th December, 2017. The Radio Mirchi unit has conducted various programmes like Talent hunt, Ramp walk, RJ hunt, Singing, Dancing, Mimicry etc. for the students.

Sankranthi Celebrations

Sankranthi Celebrations were organized on 6th of January 2018. As a part of the celebrations, Director Dr. M. Madhavi performed pooja near the bonfire. Sankarthi celebrations were highlighted with the traditional folk music, Rangoli Competition, Kite Making and Kite Flying Competitions. All the students, teaching and non-teaching staff participated very actively showing their love and respect towards Indian culture.

Aurora Foundation Day (Vasant Panchami)

Aurora Foundation Day was celebrated on 22nd January, 2018 in the seminar hall to mark many years of success. Students presented a cultural program ornamented with recitation and skit to mark the significance of Aurora’s foundation day.


Literary Club -Adhyayan


The Literary Club has organized the following activities during this academic year.

World Sanskrit Day

Literary Club celebrated World Sanskrit Day on 7th August, 2017 this year. On this occasion Literary Club organized a programme to promote the Vedic language. On this occasion the students have recited Sanskrit slokas and spoke about the greatness of our Indian culture.

International Literacy Day

International Literacy Day was organized on 21st September, 2017 by the colleges. On this occasion, a seminar titled “Significance of International Literacy Day” was organized.

National Library Week

Indian Library Association declared 14th November as National Library day since 1968. 14th to 20th November has been celebrated as National Library week all over India and various programs are organized to let the public know about the libraries. The purpose of National Library Week is to promote the use and support of Libraries. It is also a time to celebrate the contributions made by Libraries and Librarians in India.

To encourage the students and to promote the use of library, Library week was observed from 14th to 20th November, 2017. On this occasion Department of Library and Information Centre conducted the several competitions for MBA/MCA/Integrated MBA students. As a part of the week a book exhibition was also organized where several book stalls were displayed. They had also awarded the best users among students and faculty.

The following activities are conducted on the occasion of National Library Week.

Essay writing competition: The Essay writing competition held on 15th November, 2017 on the topic of “Digital Payments”.

Debate Competition: The Debate competition held on 16th November, 2017 on the topic of “Post Demonetization Success or Failure?”

Book Exhibition: Book exhibition was organized with various book sections Management Sciences, Fiction, Novel, Technical Books etc. Students and faculty members attended the exhibition and recommended some of the books to the Library.

International Mother Language Day

International Mother Language Day was celebrated on 21st February, 2018. Director Dr. M. Madhavi presided over the occasion and in her speech said that we live in multilingual and multicultural societies with multilingual citizens. Elocution on the topic “Importance of Mother Language in Career and Life” was conducted on the occasion expressed their opinion that a person should never forget to respect his mother tongue how much ever progress.

BFMC Literary Club

In association with Mr. Ravi Chandar through Benjamin Franklin Memorial Club in which Mr. P. Venkat,- Member, BFMC, Mr. Nara Hari - Vice President, BFMC, Mrs. Krishnaveni, and Mr. V. Srikanth - organizers of BFMC conduct Several activities. The activities conducted by the club during the year are as follows:

  • On 11th November 2017, the Debate has conducted a short speech competition for the students on topic “My Favorite Sportsperson”. They also conducted an essay writing competition on “What can I do to Change India?” The students were guided by the club members on how to initiate a speech and what points to be emphasized in delivering speech.
  • On 12th December 2017, the BFMC Literary Club has conducted an elocution competition on the topic “My Favourite Book. The students expressed their thoughts about their favorite book read in the last two weeks. The students beautifully expressed their views on books like “I have a Dream” by Rashmi Bansal, “The Alchemist” by Paul Coelho, “Manjhi-The Mountain Man” by Manish Chakraborthy , “The power of PosVincent, “If Tomorrow comes” by Sidney Shelton, “The Young India Wants” by Chetan Bhagat , “Deep Work” by Cal Newport etc.
  • On 6th January 2017, the young Ben members Ms. Krishnaveni and Ms. Praharsha conducted quiz for the students with five rounds covering Business affairs, General affairs, history, Indian Mythology and Indian Economy. The students were divided into 10 groups each consisting of
  • On 17th February, 2018, the club has conducted elocution on topic “Defects in Indian Education System” and all the students participated and presented their views.

  • 0n 6th March, 2018 the young bens conducted debate on the Topic: “Has Google made us stupid”. The invocation was given by Mr. Sudarshan; noble thought was given by Ms. Sirisha and speech was given by Ms. Nageetha of MBA I Year II Semester. Mr. Ben Venkat during evaluation expressed great deal of satisfaction at the way bens are progressing and gave the feedback to young bens.
  • On 14th March Story Building Competition was conducted by Benjamin Franklin Memorial Club Chair Ms. Ben Nageeta and Co-Chair Ms. Ben Sushmita. Ms. Ben Urvesh invoked the house, followed by noble thought which was given by Ms. Ben Kalyani.

National Women’s Day

On the occasion of “National Women’s Day, i.e. on 19th February 2018, a Poetry Recitation activity was conducted for the students on poems of Sarojini Naidu. The students have actively participated in the activity and recited her poetry.

International Women’s Day

  • International Women’s Day 2018 was celebrated with the theme “Time is Now: Rural and urban activists transforming women’s lives” and “Press for Progress” from 5th March 2018 to 8th March 2018. As a part of International Woman’s Day celebrations various competitions were conducted for the students. Mehendi, Nail Art, Jewellery Making, Hair dressing, Elocution competition on the theme “Women Empowerment” were conducted. The students enthusiastically participated and exhibited their creativity in all the competitions.
  • Health Awareness program was also organized on 7th March 2018, for girl students on the usage of sanitary vending machine and destruction of waste material.
  • A team from Vaibhav Jewellers visited to provide an insight on purchasing of gold jewellery to all the female staff members on 7th March 2018.
  • International Women’ Day celebrations were organized on 8th March 2018, with zeal and enthusiasm. Director, Dr. M. Madhavi, graced the occasion. In her message she addressed the students on getting equal opportunities in their education and placements. She also emphasized on gender inequalities and motivated the girl students to come forward and participate in all walks of life. Later students expressed their views on the achievements of women in today’s society.

    Seminar on Importance of Soak pits

    In association with “EENADU SUJALAM- SUPHALAM SCHEME” a seminar on “Importance of Soak pits “was organized on 16th May,2017 by the Nature club.

    World Bio Fuel Day

    An awareness program was conducted about use of Green Fuels on the occasion of World Bio-fuel Day i.e., on 10th August, 2017.

    World Habitat Day

    To create awareness about environmental protection Collage making competition was conducted by Nature Club on 10th October 2017.

    Energy Conservation Day

    Nature Club –Adhira has observed “Energy Conservation Day”, on 14th December, 2017. On this occasion PowerPoint presentation competitions were conducted for students.

    National Farmer’s Day

    Nature Club has celebrated “National Farmer’s Day” on 30th December, 2017. As a part of National Farmer’s Day MBA I Year students visited a village namely “Nemila” to conduct a study on lifestyle of farmers in rural areas. To educate the farming and non-farming people documentary film on rural folk engaged in farming and artisan work was shown to the gathering. In addition to this students played a skit, audio and video sent message through folk song and dialect conversation. Further, a power point was depicted by narrating the experiences of successful farmers in their art of farming and its subsidiary activities to ignite the minds of rural people to make India operate.

    World Water Day

    World Water Day is an annual observance day celebrated every year on 22nd March to spread the importance of water. On this occasion, Water Rally was organized by the Nature Club the year. Students took a rally starting from college to Hyderabad Public School and exhibited placards with slogans like “Save Water Save Earth”, “Bore-well is not the only solution”, “Rain water is precious”.

    NSS AND EXTENSION ACTIVITIES

    The Social Service Club has organized the following activities during this academic year.

    World Red Cross Day

    World Red Cross Day is celebrated on May 8th birthday by the college. On the occasion of Red Cross day, the NSS Coordinator Mr. E. Devender Rao, HOD, Department of Computer Applications, faculty and student co-coordinators have visited the slum areas at Bathukammakunta at Amberpet and created awareness about cleanliness, health measures to be taken in summer and distributed lemon juice and butter milk to the people.

    Anti-Terrorism Day

    On 21st May, 2017 Anti-Terrorism Day, the students of MBA, MCA and I-MBA have taken Pledge on Anti-Terrorism as:

    "We, the people of India, having abiding faith in our country’s tradition of non-violence and tolerance, hereby solemnly affirm to oppose with our strength, all forms of terrorism and violence. We pledge to uphold and promote peace, social harmony, and understand among all fellow human beings and fight the forces of disruption threatening human lives and values."

    World Tobacco Day

    On 31st May, 2017 as a part of World Tobacco Day, the NSS club coordinators have conducted Essay Writing and Elocution competitions for the students.

    International Yoga Day

    International Yoga Day was observed on 21st June, 2017. The NSS Club has organized a session on Yoga for the students, teaching and non-teaching staff.

    World Blood Donor Day

    On the 14th June 2017 World Blood Donor Day was observed by the Colleges. In the context the NSS Club has conducted an awareness programme about blood donation. The speaker of the awareness program has quoted incidents of the need for blood at right time which can save the valuable life.

    Haritha Haram

    In the ongoing great green movement Haritha Haaram, NSS club has organized plantation program on 8th July 2017 with involvement of MBA and MCA students. The main objective of the programme is driving home the message of protecting the environment.

    Sadbhavana Diwas

    Sadbhavana Diwas was observed on 20th August 2017. The NSS Club conducted a program remembering the contributions of Shri. Rajiv Gandhi. Students have shared their views about various aspects related to the country’s peace and harmony and a power point presentation was displayed showing the life history of Late Prime Minister. Shri. Rajiv Gandhi a visionary of young vibrant Modern India.

    107th Birth Anniversary of Mother Teresa

    NSS Club initiated a Charity program on 26th August, 2017 on the occasion of 107th Birth Anniversary of Mother Teresa, fond remembrance of the Great Messenger of God’s Love and Universal Mother of Humanity. Students of MBA, MCA and I-MBA have visited old age homes, orphanages and distributed clothes and food packets in and around Ramanthapur and Uppal areas.

    International Day of Peace

    A seminar was organized on the theme “Importance of Peace in today’s World” on the occasion of International Day of Peace on 21st September, 2017.

    Swachh Bharath

    As a part of “AICTE Swacch Pakwada initiative” the students of MBA II year has conducted the Swacch Bharat program in college premises on 19th September 2017. Faculty and students have actively taken part and cleaned the surroundings.

    NSS Day

    National Service Scheme, popularly known as NSS, was formally launched on 24th September, 1969, the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation. On the eve of NSS day, NSS members have initiated a program to distribute blankets to poor people. To remember and recognize the services of NSS student volunteers, NSS day was celebrated on 26th October, 2017. Dr. M. Madhavi, Director, congratulated all the NSS volunteers for rendering their services like conducting blood donation camps, visit to orphanages and distributing them the needy things, Swatcch Bharath campaign, educating poor, distributing clothes to street children etc. throughout the year. In her message she has advised the NSS volunteers to ensure social responsiveness apart from the regular curriculum.

    Health Camp

    The Young Indians (Yi) Hyderabad chapter organized a health check-up camp for MBA I Year students on 12th October, 2017. A team from Century Hospitals conducted the health check up camp which included General Physical examination, Blood Pressure check-up, BMI check-up and Blood Sugar check-up.

    Seminar on “Role of Youth on Nation Building”

    NSS Club has organized a seminar on the topic “Role of Youth in Nation Building” on 8th November 2017. Mr. Appala Prasad, Motivational Speaker and Mr. Bhagat, Social Worker, Youth for Seva organized the seminar.

    Blood Group Testing Camp

    A Blood Group Testing Camp was organized on 9th November 2017 with the collaboration of Seva Bharathi Gandhi Hospital, Secunderabad. Mr.Gangadhar and his associates of Seva Bharati, RSS Volunteers have participated in the session and helped the students in conducting the blood group test. Nearly two hundred and twenty student got registered for the camp.

    Health Awareness Program

    A health awareness program was conducted on 17th November, 2017 by NSS Club. Dr. Sindura Gajula, ADRM Hospital, Ramanthapur has addressed the gathering and given some health tips.

    Blood Donation Camp

    A “Blood Donation Camp” was organized by NSS CLUB on 23rd November, 2017 in the campus in association with the ADRM HOSPITAL Majority of the students have come forward voluntarily for donating the blood.

    Charity Program at Agape Children’s Home

    The NSS club has celebrated children’s day with the Orphans at Agape Children’s Home, Uppal, Telangana on 14th November 2017. The NSS club has provided food, books, pens and pencils to all the Children. The orphan students enjoyed a lot and they have drawn different Greeting Cards to express their happiness on this auspicious day

    5K Run for Drug Free Hyderabad

    To create awareness among youngsters to say no to drugs and yes to healthy living the US-based non-profit American Telangana Association (ATA) organized a 5K run at Necklace Road on 03rd December, 2017 to spread awareness against the ills of drug abuse. NSS Volunteers of the colleges took active participation in the run.

    Rally on World Aids Day

    NSS club has organized rally on World Aids Day on 1st December, 2017. The 1K rally was inaugurated by Director, Dr. M. Madhavi. It was also attended by Mr. Ch. Satish Kumar, Head, Department of Management & Mr. E. Devender Rao, Head, Department of Computer Applications, Mr. A. Srinivas Rao, Asst. Professor, Mr. T. Shyam Sunder, Asst. Professor and NSS Student-coordinators. Around three hundred students have come forward voluntarily for participating in the run.

    Awareness rally on Anti Corruption

    Youth for Anti-Corruption has organized an awareness rally on 9th December 2017 and students of MBA, MCA &I-MBA took participation in awareness rally to garner public support for rooting out corruption, the major obstacle in the economic growth and development of the nation.

    Disability Awareness Walk

    NSS Club in association with Non - Government Organizations NPRD India, CDS India and Youth For Seva have participated in a Disability Awareness walk on 1st December 2017. This programme created awareness about the disabled and the government measures to support encourage and give them equal importance in the society

    National Voter’s Day

    On the occasion of National Voter’s Day, the NSS club conducted seminar presentations on 25th January, 2018. The topics of the presentation were “How to become responsible voter” and “Indian Democracy-Role of youth to create awareness about the importance of exercising vote and safeguarding the democratic system of India”.

    International Street Children’s Day

    To support the street children and make the general people to stand for the welfare of the street children the NSS Club student coordinators have visited different areas in and around Ramanthapur and Uppal on 31st January, 2018. They have interacted with the street children and explained the importance of education, cleanliness and hygiene for healthy living. They also distributed stationary, chocolates and biscuits to them.

    Cancer Awareness 5K Run & bike rally -2018

    As a part of NSS activity, the students of MBA, MCA and I-MBA have participated in a Cancer Awareness 5K Run & bike rally -2018 which was conducted by Yashoda Hospitals, Hyderabad on 5th February, 2018.

    Awareness Program on Organ Donation and its Importance

    Shivaji Youth Foundation and National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit jointly organized an Awareness program on “Organ Donation and its Importance” on 19th February, 2018. Director Dr. M. Madhavi, Uppal Legislator, N.V.S.S. Prabhakar, Mr. E. DevenderRao, HOD, Departement of Computer Applications, Dr. PavanReddy -NIMS Hospital, Dr. BhanuChandra, Osmania General Hospital, T. Hanumanth Rao-Ex-Counsellor have addressed the gathering and created awareness on Organ donation and its importance among the students of MBA, MCA and I-MBA.

    Village Adoption Program

    The colleges have adopted two villages namely Bollepally village and Pallepahad Village during the year 2017-2018. The village adoption program aims to provide social service through conducting various welfare activities.

    A memorandum of understanding has been signed between Aurora PG College, Ramanthapur and Village Sarpanch of Pallepahad Ms. J. Sandhya on 15th December 2017.

    Visit to Villages

    NSS unit of the colleges have visited the Bollepally village on 14th March, 2018 and Pallepahad Village on 18th March, 2018. The Programme Officers of N.S.S. unit observed the poverty, illiteracy, infant mortality and unemployment of its people. The Program Officers interacted with the villagers of Bollepally village and Pallepahad Village with a common interest of social upliftment and promotion of peace, security, communal harmony, Women empowerment, and joined hands to conduct various welfare activities.

    MoU with Bala Bharathi High School and Government High School, Hyderabad

    To uplift the society and promote peace and security, communal harmony and women empowerment the NSS unit have joined the hands with Bala Bharathi School on 15th March, 2018 and Government High School on 19th March 2018, to conduct student welfare activities. As a part of it a Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the school management with NSS unit. NSS students have designed activities to be conducted like Swatch Bharat, Haritha Haram, Orientation Programmes on environmental protection, sanitization and personal hygiene programs, Programmmes for promotion of girl child education, to conduct various competitions on the days of national observance in the school in order to encourage the students.

    DAYS OF NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL OBSERVANCEDAYS OF NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL OBSERVANCE

    Independence Day

    Seventy First Independence Day Celebrations was observed on 15th August, 2017. The program started with unfurls of National Flag and National Anthem was sung. Professors G.V.K. Reddy and N. Thirupalu delivered the speech on importance of Independence Day. Students, teaching and non-teaching staff have participated in the celebrations.

    Teacher’s Day

    Teacher’s Day was celebrated with great joy and splendor on 4th September, 2017 in the colleges. The students have presented a short video showing their appreciation towards teachers. It was a day of delight for the teachers to see the talents of their students exhibiting various performances. The students presented the gifts to all the teachers. The teachers enjoyed the day thoroughly and finally the day ended with a cake cutting ceremony. It was a thanksgiving event for the teachers from their students and the day ended on a happy note.

    Rally for Unity (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas)

    National Unity day (also known as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) is celebrated every year on 31st of October by the people all through India. It is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who really unified the country. To promote national integration among citizens of the India as well as maintain the unity and integrity of the country the NSS club organized a “Rally for Unity” program on 31st October, 2017. Dr. M. Madhavi, Director, initiated the program by paying the floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhai Patel. In her message she expressed that celebration of this occasion annually helps youth of the country to be aware of and provides an opportunity to everyone to maintain the integral strength of the nation.

    Later on all the students administered the pledge. Following is the pledge for Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day): “I solemnly pledge that I dedicate myself to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation and also strive hard to spread this message among my fellow countrymen. I take this pledge in the spirit of unification of my country which was made possible by the vision and actions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. I also solemnly resolve to make my own contribution to ensure internal security of my country.”

    Director Dr. M. Madhavi flagged off and students started a one kilometer Rally from the campus. Students presented several placards displaying slogans on Unity in order to spread the message of unity and security.

    Human Rights Day

    On the occasion of Human Rights Day Management Club of the colleges were conducted Elocution Competition on 29th December, 2017. The competition was conducted on the topic: “The effectiveness of Human Rights in today’s Society.”

    National Youth Day

    NSS coordinators celebrated National Youth Day on 12th January, 2018. As a part of the celebrations they organized a one day “Workshop on Basics of Computers” on 9th January, 2018 to the school students. The workshop was inaugurated by Director, Dr. M. Madhavi who was the Chief Guest. The students from 6th to 8th class from various schools in and around Ramanthapur were invited for the workshop. The NSS student coordinators educated the school children about the importance of computers and the up gradation of technology in the present environment. The workshop covered various topics like parts of computer, applications of computers, usage of computers, Operating systems and the basic operations in the computers.

    Republic Day

    The 69th Republic Day has been celebrated in the college, in all its solemnity and grandeur on 26th January 2018. Director Dr. M. Madhavi unfurled the flag and the gathering saluted the National Flag and pledged themselves to uphold the honor and integrity, diversity and uniqueness of India.

    Martyrs Day

    Prayer meetings were held to pay tribute to the ‘Father of the Nation’ and his works. Principal Director Dr. M. Madhavi addressed the students about the importance of the day and said that we can never forget the contribution of our brave leaders who braced the storm of the British Raj and ushered in the dawn of freedom. Martyr’s Day gathering opened with the prayer and a moment of silent mourning for two minutes. Students and all the faculty members have participated in the Prayer meetings.

    Faculty Club

    The colleges have a faculty club through which the birthday’s of faculty are celebrated, arranges faculty Potluck lunch and faculty members are felicitated on different occasions.

    Faculty Birthday Celebrations

    As a part of faculty club the college celebrates the birthdays of all the faculty members. On behalf of the college, the principal and the staff members will presents a gift along with a birthday greeting card as a token of love and affection to the person whose birthday is celebrated.

    Aurora “Potluck” lunch was organized on 12th January, 2018. All staff came together to enjoy an assortment of classic family recipes and homemade sweets, salads, starters, North and South Indian curries including vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Everyone relished the food and had a happy time bonding and sharing the food. No doubt it has strengthened the bonding among the staff members.
