Laboratory Committee

Creation of the Committee

The laboratory committee is provide a forum on the practice of industrial hygiene and safety in the computer laboratory and associated research and support service settings. To participate in the development and analysis of related technological and regulatory issues

Objectives

To help students to prove and confirm for themselves through experiments, what they learn in the classroom
To organize the laboratory for oral and practical examinations
To ensure proper maintenance of the computer laboratory
Any other duty as may be assigned by the HOD/Principal/Director/ from time to time

Selection procedures

The faculty gives their choice for acting as coordinators in the Laboratory Committee. Based on the choice given by the faculty and students, the College Academic Committee in consultation with Heads of the Departments selects the coordinators.

Tenure

The tenure of the selected coordinator and member is for one academic year.

Coordinators

The Laboratory Committee has been reconstituted for every year. For the academic year 2018-19, following members are appointed:

Roles and Responsibilities

Preparation of laboratory manuals.
Preparation of lab schedules.
Identification of lab exercises.
Maintenance of laboratory log books.
Maintenance of computers.
Reporting of malfunctioning, repairs and other discrepancies.
Preparation of monthly report.
To ensure the cleanliness of the lab and switch off all equipment after use
